Gave a presentation on Trusat and satellite tracking in general to an audience of about 40 at the general monthly meeting of the Astronomy Club of Tulsa last Friday night. Several good questions and discussion, and I hope they will soon be involved. Video did not come out as we were using the planetarium to simulate live satellite tracking in real time.
Thanks @hafsnt! That’s great to hear!
I am giving a similar presentation to the North Houston Space Society in June - did you get questions?
I did. They were:
Did you know the first Sirius radio satellites were Molniyas - I did not.
You showed me a satellite in your scope one time that was slowly flashing, was that space junk? - yes, much of what we track is a r/b like that or other pieces, or dead satellites.
I can get my coords from an app, to seconds? - yes, that is accurate enough
Why do you need the stopwatch? To get the exact time the satellite passes the stars you chose.
I can send you the outline if you wish - it won’t post here as a pdf.
Yes I would like to see it - I’ll credit you for any stuff that I use.
Dang it won’t upload here, can you send me an email? firstname.lastname@example.org
